A man forced to work as a cobbler for his dysfunctional family is saved from certain death by an angel who gives him several ennu ninte moideen, or divine messages. While he does not know what to do with them, they provide him with guidance and hope that leads him on the path of self-realization. Based on the famous Tamil poem, this movie is about finding your true destiny within yourself. Suffering under the weight of karmic debt to his family's egos, Devan has long lost himself in bitterness until one day he is knocked unconscious during a fight between two men at work. Before he loses consciousness, he sees an angel who takes the form of a woman and teaches him how to live. After that Devan starts living a life dedicated to Aarathi as the angel asks him to be spiritual as well as physical, Aarathi promises that she will be there for him when she has found her own path. One day, an unemployed man named Sivakumar comes to work at Devan's shop after his car breaks down. He is visibly upset over the fact that he is not able to find suitable jobs in the city. Devan notices Sivakumar's agitation and decides to take him home for dinner with his family. One night while Sivakumar and Devan sleep, Aarathi comes to their home and awakens them with a light. She tells them that they were meant to meet and that she was brought here to help Devan on his journey. Aarathi reveals that although she is an angel, her soul is mortal like theirs and she cannot stay with them forever; she must find her own path. Knowing she will eventually return, they make love for the first time. A day later Aarathi leaves and after that Devan and Sivakumar work together and get on well with each other. One night while working in the shop Sivakumar suffers a heart attack which makes him realise how important life is. Devan takes care of him and makes him recover. Later Devan takes Sivakumar to his village where he helps Sivakumar to find a job by introducing him to his uncle. After this, Devan's mother tells him that she does not want to see Aarathi again because she is afraid of her. After hearing this, Devan has an argument with her and accuses her that the only reason he married her was due to caste factor as they are from different castes. He also tells her that he is dead inside and hence wants nothing more to do with her. Devan goes on to meet Aarathi in the city where he reflects on how he cried when he was young, indicating that he does not remember his childhood. Later one day, Devan learns that Sivakumar is back with his family and that is living with them. Devan embraces him and they talk about their lives. Soon, Devan realises how much he loves Aarathi and tells her about it. However, she does not understand it due to her inability to feel emotion; Devan then gives her a ring with a gemstone worth lot of money. cfa1e77820
